About the university
Founded on 1 May 1996 on the site of the barracks built in Ansbach in 1724, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences has been growing steadily ever since. In the meantime, it has expanded across five campuses in Feuchtwangen, Herrieden, Rothenburg and Weißenburg. Around 90 professors and 234 employees currently work at our university. Around 3800 students are currently studying in the three faculties of Business, Engineering and Media.

In line with our mission statement, we attach great importance to the personal development of our students and the development of talents and gifts in the context of responsible behaviour. We foster a constructive, critical but respectful culture of dialogue that leaves no room for discrimination. Instead, we promote inclusion in order to create equal opportunities for every student and employee. This also includes a family-friendly approach to work and study. To this end, we offer various support programmes and help employees to reconcile family and career, for example through flexible working hours and teleworking.
About Ansbach
The city of Ansbach has 42,000 inhabitants and is the seat of government of Middle Franconia. The picturesque, historic old town, the wide range of cultural activities, the diverse club life and short distances to the green surrounding countryside make the town a place with a high quality of life. Ansbach forms the western centre of the European metropolitan region of Nuremberg. The cities of Nuremberg, Fürth, Erlangen and Schwabach can be reached quickly and easily, as can the natural surroundings of the Steigerwald, the Franconian Lake District or the Tauber and Altmühltal valleys, which are ideal for hiking and offer numerous leisure activities.
